What
Will My Capital Gain Be?
Currently
the federal limit on capital gains profit is $500,000 for a married
couple filing together on a residence they have lived in for at
least two of the last five years.
For singles, or married
couples filing jointly, the limit is $250,000. However, if your
move is due to job relocation, health problems or other unforeseen
circumstances, these parameters may be adjusted.
Talk to your tax advisor
for specifics on your situation.
